UPDATE - LYNN DeROSA SHOT DEAD
MULLICA TWP. - Authorities are continuing their investigation into a late night shooting incident in Mullica Township.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. Monday, near a home on the 4900 block of Pleasant Mills Road for the shooting death of 57-year-old Lynn DeRosa.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit at (609) 909-7666, or the Mullica Township Police Department at (609) 652-2037.

Police responded at 9:24 p.m., Monday, May 26 to 4901 Pleasant Mills Road to the report of a shooting death of Lynn DeRosa, 57, he said.
DeRosa had owned her home on a quiet, tree-lined street since 2004, according to the New Jersey Association of County Tax Boards website.

What's the word on the street?
The word on the street is the story that Lynn's husband was cleaning his shotgun and it accidentally went off and shot her in the face. Neighbors heard him screaming and went to investigate.
That is horrible! Thank you for letting us know there's not a murderer walking the woods and this was a family incident.
I don't believe that one. who cleans a gun that late at night? Its not even hunting season.
9:30 pm is not that late for most people. It doesn't have to be hunting season just to clean guns.
The Prosecutor's Office will investigate the scene and evidence and make a determination in this case. Prayers for the family.

How come there still isn't any information regarding Lynn's horrible death? Nothing. There's not even an obit for her. Starting to think there is much more to be investigated. RIP Lynn.
It's not even 5 days yet. Investigations like this take time.
Poor girl , may justice prevail.
So it's been over a year since my cousin was murdered. No arrests? No justice? May he burn in hell. The entire Vetrecin family mourns.
