DeRosa Shooting Under Investigation

MULLICA TOWNSHIP — The investigation continues into the Monday night shooting death of Lynn DeRosa, 57, of Pleasant Mills Road, Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman Jay McKeen said Wednesday.

McKeen could not say when the office might release more information about the incident. Authorities would not comment on whether the case is a homicide investigation or a possible accidental death.

Lynn DeRosa and her husband, Sergio, owned the Old Bay Restaurant and Bar in Egg Harbor City, later the Burger Pub. The restaurant, in the 200 block of Philadelphia Avenue, closed a few years ago.

Mayor Jim Brown said he knew DeRosa, a horsewoman, by sight and often waved to her as she rode her horse near her home in the Sweetwater section of the township.
