EHC Man Charged with Lewdness & Child Endangerment

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP — An Egg Harbor City man has been accused of performing lewd acts in front of two babies.

Officers received reports of a lewdness incident Jan. 16 that happened at a home in the Mays Landing section of the township, police said.

Alexsander Morales, 49, was babysitting two children Jan 15, a 1-year-old and a 5-month-old, police said.

When the children’s parents returned home, they checked home surveillance video to find a missing cell phone when they saw Morales performing lewd acts in front of the babies, police said.

Following an investigation, detectives arrested Morales on Tuesday. He was charged with lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child and taken to the Atlantic County jail.
