Mullica School Honors Veterans

This year, school was not in session on Veterans Day, which fell on a Saturday, so districts around the region are holding events to honor veterans throughout the week.
  In Mullica Township, where on Thursday, more than 60 veterans from the area, many with children or grandchildren in the school system, will be celebrated.

Principal Matt Mazzoni, said the event began many years ago, before he came to the district.

“It’s a part of our history and the kids are learning it in text books. But there’s nothing like it if they get to see everyday people in their community that have served in a war,” Mazzoni said.
