HAMILTON TOWNSHIP — The smell of raw marijuana led township police officers to a Harbor Avenue home, where authorities seized methamphetamine, marijuana and oxycodone, as well as hollow point bullets and guns, police said.
Two Atlantic County men were arrested on various drug possession, distribution and weapons charges.
On
Thursday at 8:15 p.m., officers responded to a home on Harbor Avenue
for a service call, and the investigation led officers to a nearby
house, police said.
After
smelling marijuana emanating from the front door, police obtained a
search warrant and seized drugs, paraphernalia and weapons, township
police said.
Mark Denney, 50, of Mullica Township,
and Robin Caputo, 57, of Mays Landing, were each charged with marijuana
possession and possession with intent to distribute, as well as
possession and distribution of oxycodone and possession of
methamphetamine, police said.
Denney
and Caputo were also charged with three counts of unlawful possession
of firearms and three counts of possession of a firearm in the course of
distributing narcotics, police said.
Both men were lodged in Atlantic County jail.
