Multiple people were found shot at the Wawa on Tilton Road near the Atlantic City International Airport.
The incident happened early Monday afternoon. There was no immediate information on what happened or how many victims there were.
State police tweeted just after 4 p.m. that at least two people were injured and could not confirm any fatalities.
State Police Capt. Stephen Jones said troopers are on scene at the Wawa because they received a report that the shooting incident may have occurred this afternoon on a roadway patrolled by State Police.
State police patrol the Garden State Parkway and the Atlantic City Expressway.
State Police are working with Egg Harbor Township Police to determine where the shooting incident took place, Jones said.
Jones said the conditions of victims are unknown at this time.

A reporter on scene could see a white SUV with multiple bullets holes in the parking lot. One rear tire was completely gone and there were drag marks on the parking lot asphalt where the tire's rim dug in to the ground.

Egg Harbor Township, State Police and Atlantic County Prosecutor's officers were on scene.
