Blizzard watches mean blizzard conditions are possible across the watch area. Heavy snow, blowing snow, strong winds, and poor visibility are possible.
High wind watches are also now up
for all barrier islands as well as all of Cape May County. Northeast
winds around 25-35 miles-per-hour may gust as high as 60 miles-per-hour.
Scattered damage and power outages are possible.
A strong coastal storm is still
expected to bring heavy snow, strong winds, and tidal flooding from
Friday night through Sunday morning. Winter storm watches and coastal
flood watches continue to highlight the potential for significant snow
and moderate to major tidal flooding.
The timing remains unchanged:
snow is expected to begin Friday evening, continue Friday night and
Saturday, and then gradually wind down Saturday night.
Predicted 12 + inches of snow in the Mullica area at this time.
Power outages are possible due to the storm, either from the strong and gusty winds or the weight of the heavy, wet snow on trees and power lines. This will NOT be light & fluffy snow.
