HAMMONTON
— Four people were arrested in two drug busts early Thursday morning on
Lincoln Street and Columbia Road, Hammonton Police said Friday.
The arrests were the result of a
monthlong investigation, and police said the Atlantic County SWAT Team
assisted with the search warrant at Lincoln Street while the Atlantic
County Prosecutor’s Office Guns/Gangs and Narcotics unit assisted at
Columbia Road.
According to police:
William B. Burkhardt, 48, and
Sylvia Toborek, 49, both of Hammonton, were arrested without incident at
a residence in the 100 block of Lincoln Street.
Burkhardt was charged wth
distribution and possession of heroin, unlawful possession of a .357
handgun, possession of hollow point ammunition, and other charges.
Toborek was charged with possession of crack cocaine, unlawful possession of two shotguns, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both are lodged in the Atlantic
County Justice Facility. Burkhardt’s bail is set at $75,000, and
Toborek’s at $35,000. More charges may be filed against both later.
Aaron Calderon, 21, and Scott Cardona, 26, both of Hammonton, were arrested in a house in the teens block of Columbia Road.
Calderon was charged with
distribution of marijuana, distribution of a prescription drug, and
possesssion of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Cardona was charged with
possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding traffic warrant.
Both were released with a court date set.
