Since its inception in summer 1996, the Wildwoods' Roar to the Shore motorcycle rally has seen upward of 80,000 motorcycle enthusiasts descend on the South Jersey shore community each year to close out the summer season.
And it should be no wonder why.
From the start of when this year's crowd starts rolling in Thursday,
Sept. 10, to when they wheel their way back out Sunday, Sept. 13, the
options for fun times and frivolity seem almost endless.
The largest free motorcycle rally
in the Northeast will feature live entertainment each day at multiple
locations; vendors including custom parts, accessories, paint jobs and
design options; food, live music and special events such as a guided
ride to a pig roast, a poker run, a biker babe contest and a battle of
biker bands; two best-of bike shows including one with bikes lit up at
night; and what has become a trademark of sorts for the weekend — the
famed Rubber Duck Boardwalk Ride for charity that will end with a
