HAMMONTON — Local residents and business owners are invited to Hammonton’s Miss America Viewing Party tonight at 8 p.m. at the Alley Bar & Grille to cheer on Miss New Jersey, hometown girl Lindsey Giannini.

The free viewing party is sponsored by the independent political party Hammonton First, but there will be no political activity, said Mayor Steve DiDonato, owner of DiDonato's.
"There will absolutely not be any signs, no shirts that say 'Hammonton First,' no making political speeches, nothing like that," he said. "All 15,000 people from Hammonton are welcome."

There will be free light appetizers, soft drinks and dessert, he said.

“This is one of the proudest moments in the Town’s history and we wanted to make sure that everyone in town had a chance to get together and enjoy this special night," DiDonato said. "If you are a resident or business owner in Hammonton, you are invited."
