The Egg Harbor City Police Department is accepting resumes from individuals who are seeking an employment position as a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer (SLEOII). Minority and recently retired Full Time Law Enforcement Officers in the State of New Jersey are strongly encouraged to apply.
The following are the minimum qualifications required for anyone interested in applying for the position of Administrative Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer in Egg Harbor City:
• Must be a resident of New Jersey during the term of the appointment
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently
• Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted New Jersey driver’s license
• Must pass a psychological examination and drug screening
• Must be of good moral character; having never been convicted of a crime or of any criminal offense involving more turpitude or dishonesty
• Must be of sound body and in good health
• Class II (SLEOII) certification preferred
Duties may include but will not be limited to: court details, Megan’s Law registration, firearms identification processing, community policing, and traffic enforcement.
