Mullica Twp. Man Arrested For 1,955 Bags Of Heroin

Police seized 1,955 bags of heroin and 27 grams of pot in an arrest on Monday, Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain announced.

Anthony Taylor, 20, of Mullica Township, was arrested after a narcotics investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit, a statement from the prosecutor’s office said.

There were multiple complaints from residents and businesses of drug activity in a public housing complex area, the statement said.

Taylor was arrested after a motor vehicle stop at the 100 block of Philadelphia in Egg Harbor City, the statement said. Authorities conducted a search after the arrest and found the drugs, which have a street value of about $10,000, the statement said.

Egg Harbor City and Galloway Township Police assisted in the arrest, the statement said.

Taylor received heroin possession and distribution charges. He was taken to Atlantic County Jail in lieu of $125,000 full cash bail.
