GEHR Budget Approved

     
HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – The Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District Board of Education approved a $71,868,936 budget for 2015-2016, down $169,788 from this year’s overall budget. The local tax levy for the general fund is $30,433,000. Debt service of just more than $3 million raises the amount to $33,446,655. The local tax levy including debt service calls for $17,928,159 from Galloway, $11,708,972 from Hamilton Township, $2,538,214 from Mullica Township and $1,271,310 from Egg Harbor City.
Galloway’s taxes will increase by a total of $446,143. That’s 1.71 cents per $100 of property value. The current rate is 66.14 cents per $100 of property value.  Taxes would rise $17.10 for each $100,000 of property value.
Taxes charged Hamilton Township will decrease by $89,387, but due to reduced ratables, individual taxes will increase 4.11 cents per $100 of property value. The current rate is 55.98 cents per $100 of property value.  That means an increase of $41.10 for each $100,000 of property value.
Taxes in Egg Harbor City will be down $38,645. Taxes will be down 1.78 cents per $100 of property value. The current rate is 56.48 cents per $100 of property value.  The annual tax will be down $17.80 for each $100,000 of property value.
Mullica taxes will be down $33,471. Individual taxes will drop 1.13 cents per $100 of property value. The current rate is 86.62 cents per $100 of property value.  The tax will go down $11.30 for each $100,000 of property value.
