A key bond referendum for the Greater Egg Harbor Regional School District will pass after absentee ballots counted this morning should not alter the Tuesday election, officials said.
The mail-in ballots counted today for the first question were 99 yes and 108 no, election officials said.
There also some provisional
ballots yet to be tallied, but they are not enough to change the outcome
of the first question. The results are unofficial and the election is
to be certified on Monday.

With all the complaints about high local, county and school taxes,I'm really surprised that only 297 people in Mullica voted no to the 1st question. I expected a bigger turnout than just 477 people who cared. Even more shocking is that only 178 people from EHC voted no. I expected a protest vote from that town and hardly anybody bothered to vote.
