Logan DeAngelis's Sister Wins Shopping Spree

Logan DeAngelis has the same interests as any young man his age from Green Bank, New Jersey.
"Ride quads, dirt bikes, I'm an outdoors type of person, like a really big outdoors person," said DeAngelis.
But there's one thing that sets him apart from other boys his age.
"He was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and it spread to his spine over time,' said his sister Ashleigh DeAngelis.
Since his diagnosis about 16 months ago, Ashleigh has been her brother's support system, attending home school so she wouldn't miss treatments and even taking her brother to prom.
"She's been there for him since day 1,” said their mother Tina DeAngelis. “She's only missed like one chemo treatment and that's because she was sick and I wouldn't let her go, but otherwise she's there at every appointment, everything."
A family friend took notice of Ashleigh's compassion and entered her in the Hamilton Mall's Holiday Angel contest.
Ashleigh was selected as the winner and gets a thousand dollar shopping spree with original Project Runway winner Jay McCarroll.
"She really deserves it 'cause she's missed out on a lot,” said Tina.
While other families are feeling the stress of the holiday rush, the DeAngelis family says Logan's sickness has put things in perspective and they're taking it slow this holiday season."
"It's not about the gifts and the craziness. It's just about being together and being alive really,” said Tina.
As for Logan, he's focused on remaining positive and looking forward to his own prom.
"Staying strong, fighting it, for as long as I can take it,” said Logan
