Law enforcement
officials here in South Jersey and across the state are cracking down on
a problem they say is magnified during the holiday season.
Law enforcement agencies all over New Jersey have announced a crackdown on drunk drivers as part of a national campaign.
All this month, officers will be on patrol looking for drivers who may be intoxicated.
The 2014 "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign is designed to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving, especially during the holiday season.
The Division of Highway Traffic Safety announced this week that it will provide more than $1.2 million for the campaign, which begins Friday and runs until January 2nd.
