Xfinity subscribers in the Philadelphia area, New Jersey and northern Delaware can expect to see bills rise an average 3.4 percent on Jan. 1, Comcast Corp. has announced.
The higher bills will be for customers who subscribe for TV, Internet or phone, company spokesman Jeff Alexander said.
People on promotional plans will not see hikes, he said.
DirecTV, the nation's largest satellite-TV provider, previously disclosed hikes ranging in TV packages ranging between 3.5 percent and 6 percent. Those increases are effective Feb. 5, according to press reports.
