Thousands of fish will soon be stocked in waterways across New Jersey.
The Division of Fish and Wildlife is beginning to stock state waters in North Jersey with various species of trout this week.
Another 14 ponds and lakes will be stocked with fish next week, including four in Atlantic and Cumberland counties.
A total of nearly 16-hundred trout will be released into Giampetro Park Pond, Hammonton Lake, Mary Elmer Lake, and Maurice River.
25-thousand fish will be released across the state. Officials are reminding anglers that there is a nine-inch minimum size limit for trout in New Jersey.
