Hardware Store Contents To Be Auctioned on 6/25/14


Contents of iconic Main Street hardware store up for auction Wednesday

 
Charlie Pritchard/The contents and fixtures of the Main Street Hardware Store, formerly known as Hand Hardware, will be sold at a public auction Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. HAMILTON TOWNSHIP – The entire contents of the Main Street Hardware Store at 6016 Main St. in Mays Landing, including inventory and fixtures, will be sold at a public auction on Wednesday, June 25. The auction will begin at 11 a.m. with inspections available starting at 9 a.m.
According to Mitch Caspert of Caspert Auctioneers and Appraisers, more than 600 lots will be sold including hand tools, garden and snow shovels, paint and paint accessories, caulking, plumbing, brass, copper, pumps, chain, large quantity package and bulk hardware, nails, screws, electrical, switches, breakers, wire and cable, light bulbs, rabbit guard, gardening accessories, pool parts and chemicals, key machine and blanks, paint shaker, gondola shelving and many more items too numerous to mention.
The store was formerly known as the Hand Hardware Store and was a fixture on Main Street for many decades.
