7th Ave Apt. Fire

MULLICA TOWNSHIP - A total of eleven companies responded to a fire Thursday night on 7th Avenue that reduced a two-story garage and rental apartment to rubble and destroyed about an acre of forest, Police Captain Brian Zeck said.
The Mullica Township Fire Department received a report of fire shortly after 9 p.m. and arrived at the 1600 block of 7th Avenue to find the structure fully engulfed and a portion of forest also in flames. The fire was put out at about 11 p.m., Zeck said.

All four companies from Mullica Township responded, as did companies from Egg Harbor City, Hammonton, Mays Landing and others. The New Jersey Forest Fire Service also responded.
The apartment was vacant and no one was injured, Zeck said.
