Bill A - 2128

According to the State of N.J. Office of the Governor on January 17,2014, Governor Christie signed into law Bill A-2128, a law which permits ANY former Mayor, who is NOT currently serving on the municipal governing body to solemnize marriages and civil unions. Bill language provides for the act to take effect immediately.

In Mullica, this law will now permit Michael St Amour, Janet Forman, Kathy Chasey and other former Mayors the authority to perform marriages or civil unions
