EGG HARBOR CITY – The Lower Bank Road Bridge (County Road 652) over the
Mullica River will require periodic roadway closures to through traffic
on Wednesday, Dec. 18, so the bridge can be inspected, according to an
announcement from the county.The bridge will close for periods of up to 25 minutes at a time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to allow a safety inspection, weather permitting. The rain date is Thursday, Dec. 19.
The safety inspection is part of a federal mandate that requires bridge inspections every two years by engineering firms hired by the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
