The latest 9:00 pm article on the Press states the following:

According to the Prosecutor's Office, a Mullica Township officer "discharged his service weapon" during a car stop at about 4:40pm near Moss Mill Road and Darmstadt Ave
Following the shot, the suspect, a man whose identity has yet to be confirmed, fled in the car.
The suspect later abandoned the car in a residential neighborhood in Galloway Township, the Prosecutor's Office stated.

According to NBC 40, the police blocked off a portion of Pine Road in Galloway Twp. and surrounded a house but the search for the suspect is ongoing.

The Mullica Police have been involved in a shooting incident involving a car that was stopped on Moss Mill Road and Darmstadt Ave.. The News indicated that the suspect is still on the loose.  Helicopters can be heard over head.   Be careful until there is a news update.

Update
Galloway Police issued an alert stating that they are looking for a light skinned black male , wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the letter "T" on it in connection with an incident in Mullica.
If you see anyone matching this description, please call 911.
