Voice Of The People 10/26/13

                                          Balles' gun comment is reason to reject him.

It was very disturbing to read the Oct. 18 story, " Balles warns gun owners of Whelan / Appears, in video, to back going for gun if Democrat knocks."

Frank Balles -  our county sheriff, of all people -  seemingly encourages a group of gun enthusiasts to use firearms as a legal means to confront an elected official who Balles is challenging for office.

Atlantic County's voters need to send a strong message on Nov. 5 that advocating potential gun violence for political gain has no legitimate purpose in our electoral process.  That Balles would apparently condone it speaks to his true character.  It would be truly shameful for all of us if he gets to Trenton by this means.
