Mosquito control is everyone's responsibility, please do your part by preventing standing water from accumulating on your property.
Remove unused plastic pools, old tires, or buckets. Clean your clogged gutters and repair leaks around faucets. Fill in or drain puddles. Remove or seal tree stumps that hold water. Even a water filled bottle cap can be a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Learn how to make a cheap and effective mosquito trap:
Cut a 2 liter soda bottle in half
Add 1/2 cup of sugar to bottom half
Add 1 tsp of yeast
Add some lukewarm water
Add some stones for weight if desired
Insert top of bottle into the bottom filled part
Tape around the seam and place around your home away from where people gather.

Mullica Township is a Pine Barren community without a town newspaper or news letter, no televised or internet committee meetings and no press reporters at the meetings.
The Gadfly tries to fill the void by alerting the residents of meetings, events and articles of local interest from various sources. Most importantly, it gives a voice to the people. All residents are invited to share their opinions with anonymity or signed under each article posted.
Everyone is invited to send in articles of interest, announcements, letters of your concerns or opinions and even tips about what's going on in your neighborhood that needs investigation.
