Boston Marathon

Thoughts, prayers and sympathy for the victims and the families impacted by the horrific Boston Marathon Explosions.  The latest news reported 3 people dead and 170 + injured.  There were multiple amputations.

New Jersey State Police on Boston

The N.J. State Police and the N.J. Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness immediately convened at the state's intelligence center ( ROIC ) to coordinate the numerous actions triggered by the explosions in Boston. 
The public is urged to report tips about suspicious activity to 1-866-4-SAFE NJ 
( 1-866 - 472 - 3365).  If you see something, say something.

There is currently no known threat to N.J., but the NJSP has recalled and pre-deployed their bomb unit, aviation crews, tactical teams, and search and rescue assets.
N.J. Homeland Security and State Police are keeping Governor Christie and their partner agencies updated. Partners include the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, the Port Authority of N.Y./ N.J., N.J. Transit, TSA and others.

The NJSP are also in contact with their private partners such as large businesses, hotels, and critical infrastructure, including plants and chemical plants.
