Board of Education Meeting-Tuesday, 11/16 at 7:00 PM-NEW BOARD MEMBER TO BE NAMED???

According to the "Scoop" from the Sup't dated November 3, 2010, there was a BOE Board Member resignation and letters of interest were due to the district office by November 9, 2010 and the interview selection process was held at the BOE's Special Workshop Meeting on the same day (11/09/2010). The new appointment will be made at either the 11/16 meeting or the 12/21 meeting.

Furthermore, there is not an agenda up for the 11/16/2010, nor are the Parent Advisory Committee Agenda and minutes up under "Parent Resources" as stated in the "Scoop".

Just when you hoped things would change...they don't, they only get more convoluted.

So, this "Scoop" goes out just to parents and school employees. It seems that the board is limiting its prospects to only to a select audience.

Who resigned and why?

Rick Noble. Rumor is that it was over a dispute about how the current superintendant was selected. She was
not the board's first choice.

Noble - he couldn't take the pressure!

I am still at a loss as to why this was not public knowledge and why it wasn't announced publicly so those who may have wanted to apply could have. Everyone felt Goldberg was secretive, but nothing ever changes. The BOE members are just as secretive with everything.

And to the first comment poster @ 7:30 AM-the "Scoop" apparently doesn't just go out to parents and school employees as you very well saw it was a link that ANYONE could access. The "select audience" you mentioned to me would mean the BOE members only. I am sure that the replacement was already picked and arranged well before the so-called "deadline" of the 9th.

RE "the "Scoop" apparently doesn't just go out to parents and school employees" Who else is it emailed too? I didn't get one.

Re: 10:50 AM-where did it say it was emailed to anyone? It's on the Mullica Township School District website where ANYONE can access it.

Does anyone know who the candidates are?
