After much thought and consideration, Mullica Man has endorsed Jim Brown for Town Council. As everyone knows, Mullica Man's endorsement is highly desirable as most elections swing on it. It may not be the only thing that swings on it or from it, but it is one!
Jim Brown is right for Mullica for so many reasons. Jim is a mature man who has a lot of life lessons that he can apply to the job. While in Cleveland many years ago, Jim showed amazing tenacity as he rumbled his way to many NFL rushing records. Jim is a big man, a strong man and has a large pool of wealthy and influential friends that could help Jim and more importantly, help Mullica! Jim also has acting experience, as he co-starred in many iconic films. These acting abilities will come in handy while showing concern for the citizens of Mullica! Jim is a leader. Jim will be able to possibly help out the football team in his spare time at Cedar Creek High School - but only if elected. And by all means, don't let the overabundance of signs on just a few properties fool you into thinking that most of Mullica does NOT want Jim Brown. Jim was a civil rights pioneer and as a black man, would bring racial diversity to Mullica's Town Council. Even though it has been reported that Bill Kennedy can break dance and occasionally writes his own rap lyrics, he is a pale face with infrequent brain activity. So, I ask all Mullicans, this year, please consider Jim Brown for Town Council.

Mullica Man,
I think you have been flying a bit too high in the sky and have inhaled some of the chemtails. Maybe the Repubs slipped some of their famous kool-aid in your recharge canister.
Jim Brown, the famous football player,is not the man running for office in our Twp.
From what I've heard, the Jim Brown campaigning here is an old guy from Sweetwater who has no idea what's been going on in this town for the last 20 years. I've also heard that Kathy Chasey is his campaign manager. I know that information might burst your air bags but I had to let you know.
GREAT SPOOF,Mullica Man!!
You had me rolling with the visual of Kennedy break dancing!
I loved the facts of him being pale with infrequent brain activity mixed in with idea that he could actually write anything, much less rap. You made my day!!
OK, You got me with your chicanery! I fell into my chair so fast that I sat on my saber! I'm sure your Albion facetiousness will have the words "what the ----???"echoed through the Twp.
I won't even tell you what expletive my lips uttered upon the sight of that headline. Your piece has run me through a gamut of emotions from stressful disbelief to delightful astonishment. You never cease to amaze me.
I would have headlined the story
"Mullica Man Endorses... Jim Brown????????"
2:27 pm poster: Twenty years? How about thirty being more like it.
Mullica Man,maybe with your super powers you can search for the other guy, commonly referred to as the "Post Turtle" and the"Where's Waldo"of the political game. I was hoping to get a look at this guy today at the dump but two women were there handing out the same old flyers which tell me nothing. Oh,yeah they are going to fight the "outside forces" that are trying to change our landscape". Hell, didn't we just spend years fighting the INSIDE forces that were trying to change our landscape?? Now,I read tonight that Kathy Chasey, the leader of the attempted landscape massacre,is their controller. This whole thing just stinks.
Here I am ready to go to bed and I click onto this. I really wish that I would have waited to check the news in the morning. This is literary caffeine.
You would think that Chuckie would have been all over this post. Could it be that the Club put an apple in his mouth and will shortly have a roast at Taste Buds?
Cathy Chasey's noteworthy absence from recent committee meetings is very telling. Until last month she and Brown were sitting together like Simease twins in the audience. So, what changed things? Obviously, Brown has discovered from campaigning that his mentor is not all that well liked in the community any longer. So now he has become "his own man", while Cathy waits behind the curtain for his election so she can pick up where she left off.
It's spelled "Siamese". Where they're conjoined is for the readers to suggest. It seems to me that Brown bought Chasey's argument that they need to help out the owner of the Devonshire Inn property.
Re 9:49pm
I have that same handout in front of me. The one that is printed on the "green" paper. I read the last sentence and just laughed out loud and shook my head. Let me advertise their message:
"VOTE REPUBLICAN AND TOGETHER WE CAN AVOID LOSING THOSE THINGS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO ALL OF RESIDENTS"
Those "things" they refer to are:
"THE FREEDOMS WE MOST ENJOY HUNTING,FARMING,LIVESTOCK,FORESTS,OPEN SPACE,CLEAN RIVERS AND LAKES."
Am I the only person to see the hypocrisy of these statements considering the past history of the Democrat officials and the citizens fighting to preserve our town from the republican plot to sell our town out from under us.
I have a thoughts that might explain this flyer.
Could it be the the republicans are trying to confuse the few out-of-the-loop voters into believing that their puppet candidates are the "green" people.
or
Since it would be impossible to justify the republican officials actions against the citizens of this town, the new people have nothing they can list as new accomplishments for their party.
Now that I know Chasey is behind this campaign and seeing the green paper,I am convinced that this is her plot to try to sneak her puppets into office so she can "advise" them on every move.
The 7:38 poster informed us that Brown has no idea what's been going on for 30 years in this town and Riffle has yet to be seen even during campaign season. Would this guy even go to a meeting if elected or would he conveniently drop out and be replaced by a republican pick after the election?
These are things that must be given deep thought.
Re 10:56 am
PLEASE don't tell me that Brown thinks a "halfway house" for alcoholics, drug addicts or criminal parolees is a great idea.
You just brought up another subject that scares the hell out of me.
Hey 1:20am poster- Why don't you come over and TRY to put an apple in my mouth???? That's right, no name, no guts!!!!!!
RE: "PLEASE don't tell me that Brown thinks a "halfway house" for alcoholics, drug addicts or criminal parolees is a great idea.

Brown has suggested at least once that the township purchase the property and lease out portions of the partially-built building to small businesses. This crazy idea inexplicably comes from a self-proclaimed Convervative Republican. Why is there this constant push to help out this guy make more off his property than it is currently worth? It was the same with Wazen. By the way, both he and Waszen want the community to purchase their land for a new town hall. Who is feeding them the idea that the taxpayers would be receptive to this?
"VOTE REPUBLICAN AND TOGETHER WE CAN AVOID LOSING THOSE THINGS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO ALL OF RESIDENTS
THE FREEDOMS WE MOST ENJOY HUNTING,FARMING,LIVESTOCK,FORESTS,OPEN SPACE,CLEAN RIVERS AND LAKES."
I too had to laugh at this statement since it has been the local Republican leadership which has been so hellbent on selling off the forest to private landowners at discount prices, which would restrict public hunting, reduce our open spaces and pollute our drinking water.
re 1:20 pm
Oh, Chuck,Chuck,Chuck,I now see what your problem is. You jump to conclusions and make assumptions without fully understanding any statements or issues.
I'll make this as clear as possible for you even though I am not the 1:20 am poster but I can read.
The 1:20 am poster clearly meant that the REPUBLICAN CLUB might try to shut you up.
Go back and read the comment very slowly and without anger or hostility.
No one HERE wants to stuff an apple in your mouth. We all enjoy free speech here under constitutional rights. Anonymity is a special preserved right to protect any authors from retribution.
You must be new to the Gadfly. We use anonymity because in the past people that spoke out against the republicans had dead animals throw on their property, nails in their driveway, mailboxes smashed, selective enforcement of the laws used against them, animals killed, harassment with motor vehicles and even Larry Angel had his house searched illegally the day after he died by Bill Kennedy at the request of Kathy Chasey.
We,as a bonded community, are totally against this psychopathic behavior.
I am a conservative republican but locally I have been voting democrat because I want the stupidity to stop in this town.
You are welcome to post here anytime,as are all republicans. It would be a very interesting mix of ideas.
I hope you keep your same fiery attitude when the republicans ask you to stop writing in and I really hope I cleared things up for you.
re 2:58pm
I don't think Chuck realizes that the republicans don't want their people writing in because they're afraid our rebuttals with facts will make them look bad. They prefer silence.
2:58 poster. Thanks for your concern. The Republicans and people on this blog don't worry me.
And there was no hostility or anger when I wrote it; I was just stating the facts.
Re 1:08 pm
You were scared about the halfway house.
If you scroll back to Oct.6,2010, you will see a notice "Planning Board Meeting Tonight".
Check out the comments about the halfway house and read the provided link for the plans and the date it was submitted.
Keep in mind that Kathy Chasey made statements at public meetings that she wanted to look into extending the Elwood Village zone up the pike past the Devonshire Inn. This would remove it from the forest zone
Remember that the committee appoints people to the planning board who make the decisions on land use and zoning.
1:08 pm post- Actually, the Republicans, past and current committee members alike, as well as this year's candidates, want to extend the village, but only up to the Devonshire Inn site and not past it. Why should the township want to help out this particular landowner? Is someone on the take?
re 1:30 pm
Thanks for the link! It shows Boccella's application to the Pinelands for the halfway house and 26 more comments that are a must read for everyone.
No wonder the Republican key players are STILL trying to block the citizens from free speech at the dump. I would join the protest group on this one and even stand in the rain or snow giving out literature.
re 2:04 pm
So Brown thinks WE should buy that old heap of cement and spend $1/2million or more fixing it up for leased offices????
I hope this isn't a future conversation between Jim and his mentor:
"But Kathy, You said that if we changed the zoning, the Twp. would buy the building and put office spaces in".
"Sorry,Jim. There's no way this Twp.could afford that right now. Mr. Bocella has already sold his property to the XX non-profit Corporation who will be doing criminal rehabilitation".
"But Kathy, that means we lose the tax payment on that property and might have to hire more police officers".
"Sorry,Jim. I never saw this coming"
