Since I did not see it listed on the calendar here, I thought some readers would be interested in the upcoming Egg Harbor City Peace Pilgrim Celebration being held this upcoming weekend.
Friday, July 17-An Evening with Jody Kessler (free concert) 7:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church on Philadelphia Ave. Please bring a non-perishable food item. For info call 965-5681.
Saturday, July 18- 2 mile Intergenerational Walk for Peace at 8:00 AM registration, walk begins at 9:00 AM. Starts at Peace Pilgrim Park (behind city hall). Pre-register online at www.peacepilgrim100.org or at the event at 8:00 AM. $5.00 registration fee. For info call 965-9146.
Saturday, July 18-Community Picnic-4:00 PM until dusk-bring a covered dish. Hot dogs and veggie burgers will be provided. Music, art, children's activities, community drum circle, candle lighting ceremony at dusk.
Sunday, July 19, 10:00 AM-"Step by Step for Peace"-Joint worship ceremony with the Unitarians and Quakers led by interfaith minister Jody Kessler. Service is being held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, Pomona Road and Liebig Street, Galloway Township.
