An assault charge against Mullica Township Mayor William Kennedy and a harassment counter-charge against Mullica Township resident Lou Vitale were both dismissed Monday in Folsom Municipal Court.
The charges stemmed from an incident May 12 at a township school board meeting.
Judge Frank J. Raso deliberated for 30 minutes following two hours of testimony before delivering his verdicts.
This was reported on the Press website this afternoon and more of the story should be in the Press of Atlantic City tomorrow.

Are you suggesting that the citizens of this town should just take punches from the elected officials and not even try to press charges? What would you have done if you got punched by the Mayor? I would really like to know how you would have handled it.
I need your wisdom because now we're all at risk of being slapped around.
i say we slap kennedy's ass right out of office come Nov. 4th.....regardless of party affiliation
