Earlier today at approximately 6:50am officers were dispatched to the intersection of Columbia Road and Nesco Road for a call of a motor vehicle crash involving a truck and school bus. Officers arrived to find a heavily damaged pickup truck and school bus. Two people were sustained minor injuries, the driver of the pickup and a juvenile on the school bus, both were transported to Atlanticare Hospital. There were 7 children on the bus at the time of the crash. The students attend the Atlantic County Institute of Technology. The drive of the bus, a Raymond Guy, 76 of Galloway Twp was issued a summons for careless driving. The driver of pickup truck, a Carlo Bendetti, 60 of Hammonton was uninjured. Traffic was affected for over an hour while officers were on scene.
