Linwood resident and former gubernatorial candidate Hirsh Singh has the support of Atlantic County Republicans in his bid to succeed U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo in the House of Representatives.
Singh prevailed at the county GOP’s annual convention Saturday over six other Republican opponents with a unanimous vote from Linwood delegates as well as strong support from Egg Harbor, Galloway and Hamilton townships

 State Sen. Jeff Van Drew won the support of Atlantic County Democrats earlier this month for the same seat. LoBiondo, R-2nd, who has represented the district since 1995, is not running for re-election.
