Smoke means fire, but on Sunday morning near Stockton University, it will mean a controlled burn.
The
university and the state Department of Environmental Protection are
planning a prescribed burn at 11 a.m., to cut down on combustible debris
on the forest floor at Delaware Avenue and Pomona Road in Galloway
Township.
It's part of the university's Pinelands forest management program, spokeswoman Diane D'Amico said.
