Barbara Rheault -Candidate for Freeholder-at-Large


Atlantic County Democrats announced three freeholder candidates Monday morning.
Celeste Fernandez will run for freeholder-at-large. Fernandez, of Egg Harbor Township, is an immigrant from the Dominican Republic and owns her own insurance business in Pleasantville, Fernandez Services LLC. She advocates for Pleasantville’s Main Street business community and helps newly naturalized citizens become acclimated in the county.  

Maureen Leidy will run for freeholder in District 2, which includes the Chelsea and Chelsea Heights neighborhoods of Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate, Longport, Northfield, Linwood and Somers Point.
Leidy is a former domestic-violence counselor and has a history of working in the nonprofit sector. She works in the administrative offices of Inspira Health Network and lives in Ventnor.

Barbara Butterhof-Rheault will run for freeholder in District 5, which includes Hammonton, Buena Vista Township, Mullica Township, Egg Harbor City and roughly half of Hamilton Township. She is a science, technology, engineering and math teacher in the Mullica Township School District and leads the Mullica Township Education Association. Butterhof-Rheault is also a Mullica Township committeewoman and serves as director of public safety.
Fernandez, Leidy and Butterhof-Rheault will seek endorsement from the Atlantic County Democratic Committee at its nominating convention March 18.
