Phil Murphy - NJ's New Gov. on Tuesday

 Excerpts
Murphy, who on Tuesday will succeed Republican Christie and become Jersey's 56th governor, makes no bones about it: He wants to reshape New Jersey in a progressive mold.
"Listen, I'm a proud Democrat," the 60-year-old former U.S. ambassador to Germany and Wall Street executive said in his transition office in Trenton. "My heroes are the Kennedy brothers and Martin Luther King. And I don't apologize for that and never will."
"I'm proudly progressive," Murphy added, "but we're gonna grow this economy."

Less than a week from taking over a state with nine million residents and a $35 billion state budget despite boasting no previous elected experience, Murphy was in a buoyant mood Thursday.

He said the model is California, another heavily populated, deeply blue state -- where Democrat Jerry Brown took over for Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger eight years ago.
Murphy said he spoke with Brown about two months ago and told him that New Jersey aspires to be "the California of the East Coast."
"And either a colleague or a supporter of mine said, 'Murph, you need more attitude. You should say, 'If we succeed, California is the New Jersey of the West Coast.'" he said with a laugh.

What a wonderful aspiration! Yes,let's become just like California. Let's become a Sanctuary State and invite in all the illegal aliens living in surrounding states. Let's protect them and also all the felons and MS13 gang members that other states might deport. We have plenty of taxpayer money to pay for all their medical care, education and prison expenses.
I'm sure we'll find ways to supply & fund low income housing that we haven't been able to give to poor NJ citizens. Or maybe we'll just allow tents to be put up along city street, like California does. I hope we'll at least have funds for port-a-potties.
California is ranked as one of the worst run states in the nation. NJ shouldn't have a problem catching up to them. We are ranked last fiscally.
Can't wait to be the "Shithole of the East Coast"

Since the NJEA was a large supporter of Phil Murphy, maybe the teachers won't mind when their pension plan is raided again. Let them pay for all the "love & compassion" they want to spread.

Just think of all the millions of taxpayer $ wasted on lawsuits when the Federal Gov. refuses to send funds to sanctuary states. We are headed for bad times in NJ

New Jersey needs help and Murphy winning will hurt the American citizens who still reside in New jersey. Billionaire & Globalist Murphy will continue the failed policies of illegal immigrants and undocumented undercutting American workers.

Just heard on TV today, 1/16, that California has the highest number of homeless people in the US. There is nothing about California that is good. The middle class is moving out in large numbers.
