HAMMONTON—According to Hammonton Police Lt. Kevin Friel, the Hammonton Police Department (HPD) was called for
assistance on a call and investigation by the Mullica Twp. Police Department,
which led to the arrest of a local man on weapons and theft charges, Friel said.
Joseph Bondiskey, 44, of
Hammonton, was arrested at 2:24 p.m. on December 7 at the intersection of
Broadway and S. White Horse Pike and charged with possession of a stolen
vehicle, receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of a shotgun and
unlawful possession of a handgun, Friel said.
Bondiskey was taken to the HPD for
processing, was charged on those offenses on a warrant and transported to the
Atlantic County Jail, Friel said.
“Mullica Twp. was investigating a theft of a Rascal dump
trailer, which they located behind Bondiskey’s residence.
Mullica Twp. advised that he was leaving the area in a vehicle,” Friel said.
Officer Kyle Ambrozaitis of the
HPD stopped the vehicle and discovered a shotgun, loaded in the vehicle, and an
air-propelled handgun, also located within the vehicle, Friel
said.
Ambrozaitis was the arresting
officer, Friel said.http://www.hammontongazette.com/news1
