The Men and Women of The Sweetwater Fire Company is excited and proud to announce
that Chief Franklin had a meeting with Santa over the phone. Santa is coming to the Sweetwater area on Sunday Dec., 10th. The officers of Sweetwater had a meeting today to discuss plans for our Santa Run. We will be keeping up with our tradition. Captain Scarpato is giving up his Captains position for the Santa run in honor of our little brother Aiden. This year WE are honoring EVERYONE that has had and IS battling with a illness. You and your families our in our prayers and thoughts. GOD BLESS.
For anyone who may not know. Aiden is a honorary firefighter with The Sweetwater Fire Company.
Here is a little history of how we started our tradition.
Santa ask for Aiden to be part of the Santa run ( The year we made Aiden a Honorary Member ). Unfortunately Aiden never got to make our Santa run. So in honor of Aiden we started this tradition of Scarpato giving up his title. And proudly gave his position as captain for the Santa run to Aiden. We still honored Aiden on that day as Captain. He may not have been able to be with us, but he is in each and every members heart in Sweetwater. And still is to this day.
