Drag racers and lifeguard races, the hottest thing in ice cream and a look back at the solar eclipse highlight the latest episode of “-30-,” The Press of Atlantic City’s television show, which airs 7:30 p.m. Thursday and repeats 10:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and 5 p.m. Tuesday on Stockton University’s channel.
Segments can be watched any time at PressofAC.com/30.

Drag racing runs in the Stalba family, of Mullica Township. Karen Stalba, her husband, Tom, and their 10-year-old son, Paul, all compete in drag races up and down the East Coast. Although all three have enjoyed successful careers, they gain more satisfaction out of the memories they create as a family. Sports columnist David Weinberg caught up with them recently at Atco Dragway to gain some insight into their love of the sport and each other.

Each week, “-30-” explores the stories behind the region’s major events and newsmakers.
The show is produced by Press staffers working with Stockton students and airs on Stockton’s educational access channel 9. Most residents of Atlantic County can watch channel 9 through Comcast cable.
New episodes run each Thursday and are re-aired at 10:30 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays and 5 p.m. Tuesdays.
