Mullica - Dump Trucks Collide

MULLICA TOWNSHIP – Nobody was injured when two dump trucks collided early Friday morning on Route 30 causing one of them to spill its load, police said.
When officers arrived about 3:25 a.m. to the area of Route 30 and 10th Avenue, they found an overturned dump truck that spilled its load of sand onto the road and in the parking lot of a local business, said Chief John Thompson Jr.

Aaron Donovan, of Galloway, was driving a Mack dump truck for E V Dump Truck Service out of Pomona when another dump truck, driven by Rasool Jones, of Camden, made an illegal turn in front of Donovan, causing them to collide, Thompson said.
Jones was driving for Mike and Son’s LLC out of Egg Harbor City and was cited for making an improper turn.

Nobody was injured in the collision, Thompson said.
Route 30 westbound was closed for more than three hours as crews worked to clean the sand. Battelini Towing turned the truck upright and removed it.
