Colin Bell To Fill Whelan's Senate Seat

Atlantic County Democrats Tuesday elected Colin Bell to fill the unexpired 2nd District state Senate seat, a vacancy created by the death last month of Jim Whelan.

The vote took place during a meeting at the Teamsters Hall in Egg Harbor City.

Bell, a former Atlantic County freeholder, was picked unanimously by the county Democrats. He vowed to carry on the legacy Whelan left behind.
