Questions have been raised by an article by Mr. John Paff,
presently serving as Chairman of the New Jersey Libertarian Party's Open Government Advocacy Project as well as the NJLP's Preempted Ordinance Repeal Project, as to the legality of the proposed "Peace & Good Order" Ordinance.

Update 7/11 - The Solicitor has recommended that Ordinance #6-2017 "Peace & Good Order" be put under further review. The Committee agreed not to pass it in the current form and will work on revisions.

They forgot to put "No Dancing " or "Playing of Music" in the new ordinance. Just shows the type of people who represent us on the Twp. Committee. Is this the "50's" in Mullica Twp.
Hey Gadfly on a different note it's my understanding that there have been some cars broken into on Darmstadt Ave. Maybe it would be a good idea that the PD would notify the residents of what's going on
I don't think they forgot the no dancing or playing of music because if your dancing or music annoys someone, according to this catch all ordinance, you could be charged. You could be charged with just about anything especially if someone doesn't care for your political views, your looks, or anything else about you
That's why anyone with any sense is getting out of Mullica Twp. Why would you pay the amount of taxes we do or how much more we are going to pay after the assessments for what we receive. The township is a joke.
I guess you're moving out of NJ. Where do you think taxes are less? You don't have a water or sewer bill here either. It's not the Township's fault for the reval. It's legally required. I think the last reval was 1995.
Wow, thanks for the info, I didn't realize that. My point was for the amount of taxes we pay we should be receiving the same services as a Town like Hammonton or a Twp. Like EHT. Just my opinion to which we our all entitled
We don't have the commercial businesses to help out with the taxes. We are a rural oasis surrounded by congestion. That is why people who are looking for acreage & a peaceful private life come here. The majority of people are very much against future development. Our taxes have to pay for our police Dept, town hall employees, public works, the dump, and our school and some help for our vol. fire depts. These depts. make us a town and they are all on bare bone staff and not nearly paid as high as other towns. Extra events are dependent on donations from citizens and a few businesses. Added services would mean a major raise in taxes to cover expenses.
