Men Arrested For EHC Gun Fight


EGG HARBOR CITY, NJ — Three men have been arrested in connection with a shooting last month in Egg Harbor City, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said.

Timothy Davis, 19, of Mullica Township, is charged with two counts of second-degree aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose, two counts of third-degree assault and two counts of criminal mischief.

Emmanuel Izguierdo, 25, of Egg Harbor City, is charged with two counts third-degree aggravated assault, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose (ASP Baton), and fourth-degree possession of a prohibited device.

Jonattann Lopez, a.k.a. "J-roc," of Atlantic City and Egg Harbor City, is charged with two counts of second-degree aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose, two counts of third-degree assault and two counts of criminal mischief.

A shooting at the Philadelphia Village Apartments in Egg Harbor City resulted in a significant gunfight at about 10 p.m. on May 18. No one was injured, but gunfire barely missed a mother and her small children, and several cars and buildings were struck, police said.

 At the request of the Egg Harbor City Police Department, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit with assistance from the Intelligence Unit, became involved in the investigation on May 24.


The joint investigation lead to Davis, Uzguierdo and Lopez being identified for various roles in the gunfight, according to police.
Davis was arrested without incident on May 26 in Mays Landing by personnel from the prosecutor’s office. According to Tyner, Davis has already confessed to his role in the fight. He is currently lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

Izguierdo was arrested after police executed a search warrant at his home. He will be released on a summons.

Lopez was arrested without incident in Atlantic City by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office GGN Unit, Atlantic City Police Department and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force on Wednesday, June 7.
He was also wanted in connection to a shooting that took place on Feb. 24 at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. Police say he shot at an unknown man who was walking into the lobby. The outside of the hotel suffered damage as a result of the shooting.
In that incident, Lopez is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
