Two men were arrested after they
allegedly beat a man with blunt objects outside of his home in Mullica
Township, New Jersey Wednesday morning.
Police
say Randolf English, 42, of Dorchester, New Jersey and Brian Kuhns, 26,
of Liesburg, New Jersey attacked a man outside his home on the 3700
block of Nesco Road shortly before 7 a.m. The suspects used a hatchet
and a stick during the attack and then fled the area into the woods on
foot, according to investigators.The victim was taken to Atlanticare Hospital where he was treated for head and arm injuries.
The victim’s wife called police who
responded to the scene. Responding officers first noticed a suspicious
vehicle about a half a mile away from the home in a grassy field. One of
the officers stayed with the vehicle while the other searched the home.
More officers from Mullica Township as well as other police agencies
and K9 units from nearby towns were called to the scene. The New Jersey
State Police Aviation Unit was also contacted for aerial support.
Police
eventually found English and Kuhns around 8:05 a.m. in the backyard of a
nearby home, officials said. Both men were taken into custody and
charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful
purposes, conspiracy and resisting arrest.
English
was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $50,000
cash bail while Kuhns was lodged in the facility in lieu of $40,000 cash
bail.
Police have not yet revealed the motive behind the attack.

Earlier today at 7:00am a 911 call was made by the home owner at 3727
Nesco Road reporting that two subjects, both armed with blunt objects as
weapons, attacked the callers husband outside of the residence. The
subjects attacked the male victim, beat him with the weapons and then
fled the area into the woods on foot. During the response a suspicious
vehicle was located approximately ½ mile away in a grass f
ield,
one of the responding officers stayed with the vehicle while the other
went to the residence. The officers quickly realized that the suspects
were likely in the wooded area between the residence and the vehicle
location. Additional officers were summoned from Mullica Township along
with officers from several police agencies nearby, including a K9 unit
from Galloway Township. The N.J.S.P. Aviation Unit was also contacted
for aerial support. At approximately 8:05am two subjects were founded
in the rear yard of a residence in close proximity to the vehicle
location. The two subjects were placed into custody. The officers on
scene continued the investigation throughout the day, the result of some
extensive efforts by these officers were the following:
• Randolf English, 42 of Dorchester NJ
charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for unlawful
purposes, Conspiracy and Resisting arrest. Randolf was lodged in the
Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $50,000.00 cash bail.

Brian Kuhns, 26 of Liesburg NJ also charged with Aggravated Assault,
Possession of a Weapon for unlawful purposes, Conspiracy and Resisting
arrest.
Kuhns was lodged at the A.C.J.F. in lieu of $40,000 cash bail.
The circumstances surrounding the motive for this event is still under
investigation. The quick apprehension and arrest of the two subjects
would not have been possible without the help of law enforcement
officers from this department along with several others they are:

The victim was transported to Atlanticare Hospital with moderate head and arm injuries.

A thank you to a few Nesco residents who were alert enough to call in when they seen these suspicious men. This could of turned out even more violent.
