HAMILTON TOWNSHIP — A Hammonton man crashed his car into another, ran from the scene and hid under brush before police arrested him on a DWI charge Tuesday, officials said.
Just after 5 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle crash near Weymouth and Elwood roads.
Nicholas
Pagano, 25, of Hammonton, was driving a 1997 Jeep Cherokee and crashed
into the back of a 2016 Chevy Sonic heading southbound on Weymouth Road

Prieto-Moreno and her 29-year-old husband were not harmed and exited the vehicle on their own.
Police
said Pagano then ran from the crash site while a passerby followed him.
When police and a K-9 unit arrived, they found him hiding less than a
mile away on Elwood Road under brush, suffering from minor injuries
.
.
Pagano
was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, tampering with
evidence, resisting arrest and possession of controlled dangerous
substance paraphernalia.

Tuesday following the crash. Atlantic County Park Rangers, off-duty
members of the Mizpah and Mays Landing fire fepartments and Mullica
