Update - The National Weather Service at 7:53 a.m. Sunday said all of coastal South Jersey and the Delaware Bay remain under a tropical storm warning. But the storm is tracking east, sparing South Jersey a worst-case scenario.

Gov. Chris Christie declared Saturday a state of emergency for Atlantic, Cape May and Ocean counties, in advance of Tropical Storm Hermine and its impending severe weather conditions.
In addition to the expected moderate-to-major coastal flooding, heavy surf and beach erosion, the severe weather may also bring power outages and impede the flow of traffic in the state, the statement said.
The declaration broadens the power of the New Jersey State Police, including their traffic control, as well as giving the National Guard a way to assist with rescue or cleanup, if needed.

SUNDAY► Mostly cloudy with rain possible, especially the first part of the day.  Continued windy with tidal flooding still possible, and rip currents and rough surf likely along the shore.  Highs again in the mid 70s, with east to northeast winds around 15-25mph and gusty.
LABOR DAY► Mostly cloudy with showers still possible, but some drying or brightening also on the table depending on the track of Hermine.  Highs in the upper 70s to around 80 with a northeast onshore breeze persisting.
