Stockton University is inviting the public to help create a pep song for its various Osprey athletic teams.
Once the new pep song has been found, it will debut on University Weekend in October, played by the university's new Pep Band.
There are some rules to this contest, which is open to anyone:

- Words should be easy to remember, and the melody should be upbeat
- Songs must include a reference to the Ospreys, and has to apply to all Stockton sports
- Entries must be submitted in MP3 format, with written lyrics and a melody notation
“Stockton’s sports teams are a
great source of pride and having our own Pep Song will be another way
for fans to display their Osprey spirit,” said Lynne Kesselman, chair of
the university’s Pep Song committee.
Submissions will be due by July
1. Three finalists will be chosen by an anonymous panel of judges, who
will then have the opportunity to consult with music business
professionals, Ed Vezinho and Fred Jerkins III.

jazz orchestra-in-residence, Ed Vezinho/Jim Ward Big Band.
