Tax Appeal Hearings

The Atlantic County Board of Taxation has started holding hearings for the 9,165 property tax appeals filed this year.

Several smaller municipalities, or those with small numbers of appeals filed, are finished their hearings, said Assistant to the County Tax Administrator Keith Szendrey.

They are Hamilton Township, which only had 75 this year; Buena Borough, Egg Harbor City, Estell Manor, Folsom, Longport, Mullica Township, and Port Republic. Together they had 227 appeals filed.
Mullica Township had 12 filed tax appeals.
