Can anyone explain to me why the Twp. has to appoint a bankruptcy attorney?
Maybe because they are approving all the salary increases to 2019 tonight. LOL
I really have no idea why but if the Twp. was in trouble, I would think we would be all over the news like Atlantic City.
Didn;t anyone on the committee care to explain to the public or the other members why this appointment was made. It is very unusual and implies the town is pursing bankruptcy. If anyone knows the answer I hope they tell the moderator what is going on. It may be something very minor but shame on the government for leaving residents in the dark as usual.
The official word is that the Township had to hire a bankruptcy attorney because of litigation involving the ejectment of persons in wrongful possession of Municipal property. Such person/persons have declared bankruptcy. The Township finances are fine.
