Sweetwater Marina and Riverdeck opens May 13th...Meet the new owners!
Lifelong residents of South Jersey Mike and Kimmie Iles purchased the
former Sweetwater Casino in early 2016 and think of themselves as
caretakers of a South Jersey icon and guardians of one of the hidden gems of South Jersey, the Mullica River.
Mike and Kimmie along with their sons Max and Mike will be hands on at the Sweetwater Marina and Sweetwater RiverDeck starting in May 2016.
They have been spending summers on the Mullica River for over 30 years
and purchased a summer home on the River in 2006 along with cousins
Terry and Lisa Rossi. They saw Hurricane Sandy come and destroy it but
rebuilt it just 12 months and is now one of the finest homes on the
River.
Mike and Kim love to spend the summers on boats and bikes cruising around South Jersey.
The Sweetwater Marina and the Sweetwater RiverDeck will be a family
affair with lots of family and friends working hand and hand with the
Iles’s to get this venture off the ground.
The family also enjoys a certain amount of celebrity as Mike, like
his father Max Iles, is a winning circle track racer and you can find
him on Saturday nights behind the wheel of the 7-11 Dirt Modified (once in a while on asphalt)
or in a TQ midget in Atlantic City or Trenton. Max and Mike, the
sons, are graduating from Bishop Eustace Prep in 2016, and are former
print, TV and film stars playing parts in Law and Order:SVU, Hope and
Faith, and as the Brain Boy in Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 You can find Max and Mike on IMDB and Mike and Kimmie on “The Facebook”.
