Frederick J. Wilber, R.I. P.


WILBER, FREDERICK J. (Fred) - of Nesco, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, April 8, 2016 at Capital Health in Lawrenceville, NJ. He was 89 years of age. Fred was born on February 21, 1927, in Harlem, New York City, New York, where he lived until 1959. NYC is where he met his beloved and cherished wife Eileen Heaney Wilber (1934-2006), as they had worked together at the Misericordia Hospital in Manhattan. They had a loving and adoring marriage and they are together as one now, as always.

 Fred is survived by his six children and their families: Richard Wilber & his fiance Beth Ann Corbin, Maggie and Frank Pompa, Elizabeth and Nicholas Tiberio, Eileen Wilber, Annie Wilber, Thomas Wilber. As well as Fred and Eileen's grandchildren: Christopher, Grace, Alex, Kevin, Robert, and Julian. Fred loved them all and cherished their dear friends and neighbors.

 Fred served in the Army during WWI and has worked for Burlington Corporation, as well as the Mullica Twsp Schools, where he had many friends and coworkers but mostly loved the kids of Mullica School with all his heart. Fred never hesitated to give you the last two dollars in his pocket or any kid in the county a ride.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Friday, April 15th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Wimberg Funeral Home 400 Liverpool Ave, Egg Harbor City 609-965-0357. The service will begin at 10:00 AM with interment immediately following at the Batsto- Pleasantmills Cemetery.
